Recently opened my e-mail to find this great piece of fan art waiting for me from Marc Palm. Marc says: “I’m a geek about Filmation cartoons and couldn’t help imagine what Prison Pit would look like if it existed as a cartoon. I painted the sky pink and the ground brown because I thought that the prison pit would probably just be a huge colon.” Awesome choice, Marc. Awesome choice.

Having worked at Filmation, I can tell you there’s not enough purple in the picture. Filmation’s color designer was color blind; one would think that would be a handicap in the world of animation but not at Filmation. Everything he did color design for was purple and green…

Only a mental patient would ever be as big enough fan to not only love Johnny Ryan’s work but also do art about Prison Pit He wrote

This fan and artist is clearly as mentally fucked up and funny as Johnny, which is difficult to equal. Really great stuff.
